Huskee Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Sydney, Australia (Crows Nest Office)

The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Coordinator is to manage suppliers, manage inventory and to manage the purchase and production of raw materials to support manufacturing in order to meet inventory required to meet anticipated demand.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will develop inventory management processes for warehouses across multiple regions, protocols and practices with suppliers to ensure adequate redundancy to support growth and demand spikes; manage the vendor roster; introduce improvements and upgrades and ensure alignment with scheduling and logistics.

Roles & Responsibilities


  • - Create Purchase Orders for current and forecasted demand for raw materials and finished parts

  • - Follow-up with vendors to ensure purchase orders have correct price, freight charges, and delivery dates

  • - Review vendor invoices and coordinate resolution

  • - Coordinate freight and receiving of stock between vendor locations

  • - Coordinate QA inspection of raw materials and parts as required

  • - Coordinate with vendors in event of defects and complete non conformance reports

  • - Follow-up with vendors on back-orders and notify operations and logistics of impacts to shipping dates

  • - Monitor WIP and coordinate with factories to resolve issues with open work orders

Supply Chain Management

  • - Ongoing demand forecasting

  • - Work with Senior Management to build and maintain supply redundancy

  • - Maintain a supplier evaluation system and coordinate with vendors and manufacturing partners to help improve performance

  • - Work with sales and finance team to provide vendors forecasting information

  • - Vendor negotiations

  • - Maintain part costs and vendor quote information in ERP software

  • - Monitor inventory levels for raw materials, branch stock

  • - Coordinate inventory counts with warehouses and 3PL

  • - Maintain supply chain compliance documentation

  • - Work with operations, logistics and customer service teams

New Product Development

  • - Work with design team to source new materials, innovate and liaise with manufacturing partners to develop new products

  • - R&D new materials and suppliers

  • - Coordinate with vendors and third parties consultants to obtain compliance documentation

  • - Project manage production elements of new product development

Key Requirements


  • - College diploma/degree in related field


  • - Previous experience in purchasing - 3 years

  • - Previous experience with manufacturing environment (injection mold)

  • - Project Management experience


  • - Understanding of manufacturing practices

  • - Ability to critically assess and improve efficiency

  • - An ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise and execute tasks to timeline

  • - An ability to innovate and work in fast-paced, changing team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • - An ability to present well and communicate effectively cross-culturally

  • - Excellent time management skills and ability to work across timezones

  • - An intuitive understanding of digital information systems and platforms

  • - Experience with ERP an asset

  • - A disciplined approach to record keeping and project management

  • - Bi-lingual (Mandarin) preferred but not required
